Letter of Credit Facilities

 

K&Partners provide Documentary Letter of Credit  and Standby Letter of Credit to  clients in need of Financial Instruments  facilities in order to meet import business needs. Generally these clients face difficulties in attaining Letter of Credit  facilities directly from their banks in order to resolve immediate cash  needs for their business.

 

The services offered have facilitated excellent relationships between our clients and their overseas suppliers, thus allowing the growth of certain business segments which companies would otherwise not have the ability to pursue.

 

K&Partners SA clients import items ranging from commodity goods to apparel and textiles, and electronic components to consumer appliances and specialty products. The Letters of Credit are opened to suppliers in Asia, Africa, Europe, South America and other parts  in the world.

Import Letter of Credit Procedure

 

Here are the procedures to benefit from our  Documentary Letter of Credit / Standby Letters of Credit or Bank Guarantee(s). Trade Facilities:

  1. Client Fill in the ONLINE Application Form to submit his request. 
  2. Information sheet and NCND Agreement will be forwarded to client for client to fill out and return.
  3. A draft of the instrument will be forwarded to client for approval with our Invoice.
  4. After client approves  the verbiage of the L/C draft the client must  effect the payement by Swift wire transfer before the opening of the instrument.
  5. The Letter of Credit is open  to client’s suppliers designated Bank within 72 hours upon receipt of the opening fees payment..

All fees must be paid in full by wire transfer prior to the opening

of all Letters of Credit.

Type of LC Transactions Facilities

 

Transfer Letter of Credit (“TLOC”)

Term: as per master letter of credit

Facility Amount: as per transfer requirement (evidenced by contract / pro-forma)

 

Irrevocable Documentary Letter of Credit (“DLOC”)

Term: 60/90 days expiry. (FOB; CIF or CFR)

Facility Amount: as required by Applicant

 

Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit (guarantee)

Term: 90/180/365 days expiry.

Facility Amount: as required by Applicant

 

All fees must be paid in full by wire transfer prior to the opening of all Letters of Credit.
